The recently completed renovation project at Toronto General Hospital (TGH) upgrades an existing radiology suite to accommodate the Alphenix Hybrid Angiography 4D CT scanner enabling the first installation and use of this advanced system in Canada.
This cutting-edge imaging technology enhances patient care and workflow efficiency by integrating CT and angiography within a single space, eliminating the need for patient transfers between rooms and allowing for seamless diagnosis, treatment, and verification. The renovation includes electrical, mechanical, and structural upgrades, along with a reconfigured layout to optimize space, improve accessibility, and ensure compliance with medical imaging safety standards.
The inaugural installation of the 4D CT scanner at TGH will enable highly detailed, real-time imaging, allowing for more precise diagnosis and subsequent treatment regimens. This upgrade will enhance patient safety, improve treatment accuracy, and boost overall productivity by streamlining workflows and reducing procedure times. With these improvements, the hospital will deliver a more efficient and state-of-the-art diagnostic and treatment environment – ultimately producing better patient outcomes.
