Oxford County Administrative Building

The County of Oxford is the political upper tier to eight Area Municipalities and is responsible for the provision of a wide range of services to its residents. With the completion of the Oxford County Administration Building, these services were consolidated in a purpose-built facility that accommodates the growing administration office needs of the County of Oxford. Material selected, and building scale respects and complements the historical qualities of downtown Woodstock.

The new Council Chambers is designed to meet a variety of council configurations. Space allocation for the Chambers also addresses requirements for, and infrastructure supporting broadcasting technology. The Oxford County Administration Building also functions as the emergency disaster headquarters for the County and is constructed to the demanding requirements to provide shelter in an emergency.

This building not only meets the County’s functional requirements but also is a flagship for environmentally responsible and energy efficient design as evidenced by achieving a LEED Silver certification.
