McMichael, who was the Architect for the office project, was very much in tune with what our vision was for a new office space. His unique vision to connect the two spaces in a fluid and open concept was very well executed. Using a 3D video model to give us a virtual walk through was extremely helpful for our faculty and staff to get a real sense of the new space. It was a brilliant approach. The feedback we received from internal and external guest even a year after are very positive and the space is trend setting for the rest of Humber College.

Over the past few days, including the Donor Recognition Night and the Grand Opening, there has been little time to thank those most involved in the success of the Maitland Recreation Centre. The project has been a success and the Donor Night and Grand Opening attendance was far beyond our expectations.

[aTRR]…spent a great deal of time consulting with the various user groups of Elgin Hall and were able to incorporate many of the resulting suggestions into the final building design. In addition to the suggestions of user groups, the location of Elgin Hall resulted in special attention being paid to the building exterior and landscaping at the request of both the London and University communities.

The Municipality’s experience with architects Tillmann Ruth Robinson, specifically Scott Robsinson, has been a positive experience. Scott has always made himself available for meetings and phone discussions and has provided valued expertise in answering questions raised throughout this process…The facility being constructed reflects the vision of the community and extends its life expectancy for generations to come.

Tom and his team were very responsive to our own ideas about the design and functionality of the building, and many of our ideas found their way into the final plans. The end result is a revitalized building that has had a very positive impact on our Department and become a centerpiece of the University.

The aTRR team was integral to helping us realize our vision for this space. Their honest and practical approach to the project enabled us to meet our budget and schedule goals while also completing a project to be proud of. The resultant space provided an improved patient journey and quality of work life for staff.

[Tom and Scott]…have demonstrated a strong desire to have our new facility reflect the community’s interests and they understand the importance of designing a facility within the limits of a budget and having regard to long term maintenance and use considerations.

The modern industrial design combined with the post and beam architecture offers a local café, large event space, accessibility ramp and washrooms, private offices, permanent desks, flex desks, kitchen, meeting rooms, multiple lounges. But more importantly, the space has created an environment where individuals feel creative, connected and excited to be a part of something that truly breathes community. This translates into amplifying their own mission into thriving organizations. As one co-tenant suggests: This is the most vibrant place I’ve ever worked in. I look forward to walking through the doors every single day.

Throughout the project, we have come to rely on aTRR for their professionalism, their prompt response time, their ability to navigate the array of stakeholder feedback, their eye for design and efficient use of space, their solution focused resolve, and their enthusiasm.
